Biography
Gordon Ryan is widely considered the greatest no-gi grappler in history. Born in 1995 in New Jersey, Ryan began training at age 15 and quickly rose through the ranks under legendary coach John Danaher. He is the only athlete to win ADCC gold in two weight classes at the same tournament (2019 and 2022), and holds the record for most ADCC gold medals by an American male.
Ryan's methodical approach to grappling, combined with his exceptional physical conditioning and mental fortitude, has made him virtually unbeatable in no-gi competition. His systematic approach to every position has revolutionized how modern grapplers think about the sport.
