Can I try a class at Beyond BJJ before committing to a membership?
Absolutely! We offer visitor day passes for those who want to experience our training before committing. Adults pay $40 and kids pay $30 for full-day access to all age-appropriate classes.
What should I wear for my first BJJ class as a visitor?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing—a rash guard and shorts or leggings work perfectly. No gi is required for your first visit. Bring a water bottle, flip-flops for walking to/from the mat, and arrive 15 minutes early.
Do I need prior martial arts experience to visit Beyond BJJ?
No experience is required! Our instructors specialize in welcoming complete beginners. We'll match you with appropriate training partners and ensure you feel comfortable throughout the class.
Is the visitor day pass refundable if I sign up for a membership?
Yes! If you decide to enroll in a monthly or annual membership after your visitor experience, we'll apply your day pass fee toward your first month's tuition.
Can my entire family try classes on the same visitor pass?
Each participant needs their own visitor pass. However, we offer a Family Visitor Package: $100 for up to 4 family members (any combination of adults and kids) for the day.
What are the rolling and training safety expectations for visitors?
Safety is our priority. No heel hooks are permitted. Train at a nice, controlled, fun, and safe pace—enjoy the camaraderie, friendship, and opportunity to learn from each other. Aggressive rolling may result in removal from the school. The goal is not to roll hard; it's to roll intelligently, executing your techniques in a controlled manner without injuring your training partner who trusts you.
